Well I am still living and I must say my step is just a littel lighter these days. I finally moved out of my parents house. . . YAY!! I feel like I am still at their beck and call though. . unfortunatly I pretty much am as I still have their truck. I am hoping to purchase my own vehicle shortly. I may start looking for a second job for the weekends. I do not like being alone in an apartment at all.
Although I am not really alone. Along with me and Devvyn in this apartment there also resides a beautiful cat by the name of pewter. Devvyn and I adopted him from the welland humane society and now are looking for a friend for him. All in all my life is really looking up for me. I adore my roomies Devvyn and pewter and they make home a great place to be. More to come later. . . Oh for those of you who were wondering about when I was going to start writing again. . . I promise that I will start writing again soon.

What am I thankful for?

mood: thankful thankful

I went out for coffee with an old friend the other day and he asked me to list some things I am thankful for this year. At the time I was like "umm.... thankful?" but now that I think of it I have alot that I am thankful for so I decided to make a list.

1. Hotra. She is my drama teacher who believed in me when no one else did. She is like a mother figure that I never had.
2. My new job. I can't say how much I enjoy this job. I almost hate my days off cause it means that I can't be there.
3. The discovery of furry culture! Wow... I can't believe the amazing people who belong to this culture. Also I am thankful to everyone on Anthrochat. *purrs* You are all my new bestest buddies!!
4. Devvyn, Sorry had to put this in here though I know it's mushy and stupid. Yes, I do love him and no, I do not doodle Amber Murphy in my notebooks.... all the time.
5. The birth of my second cousin Ehvena (points if you can unscramble the letters and tell me what word her name came from). She is a miracle baby after so many failed attempts.
6. My 2 brothers and 3 sisters who have grown amazingly fast in the past year... mostly thankful that only one turned out as weird as me.
7. Revenge... enough said
8. Random water gun fights in the summer followed by long days of climbing tress, building forts, eating purple popsicles, campfires and staring at the clouds.
9. My best friends Sam and Joe... You guys listened through it all and endured many ice-cream eating cry fests.. and yes you Nathan, You taught me so much about myself and about life... Thank-you for everything you guys have done...and I have to add Nicks name as well. It just felt like a name was missing!
10. The wonders of sunsets and sunrises....

There is so much I am thankful for but not enough to time to write it all....
This list is in random order Joe so don't even think about complaining about where you are on it!
Thanks everyone for another year of life and love...

My First Post

mood: curious curious

So at first when I saw this whole live journal thing I thought it was pretty dorky. That may have been because the person who introduced me to it is very dorky himself. However much thinking and analyzing brought me to the conclusion that it is not dorky and that I want my own LiveJournal account. So here I am feeling pretty silly because I have nothing to say. I guess that is going to have to be the end of my first post... Really I am not this boring usually!

Christmas and Giving

Dec. 23rd, 2006 | 02:28 pm
mood: excited excited

I was under the impression that Christmas had lost it's glimmer for me up until yesterday. Every year I go a little bit crazy during the holidays. I wear christmas type head gear for the entire holiday season. Last year was a santa hat but this year i decided to go with the reindeer antlers. I don't just wear them for family occasions but I wear them absoloutly everywhere. So yesterday I opened my fridge only to find that my family went on vacation and took all the food with them. So i promptly put on my antelers and my fluffy brown coat and headed to the local supermarket. When I arrived I immediatly headed to the fresh vegetables and started loading veggies into my cart. I think I was debating whether or not I wanted baby carrots or the regular ones when I heard a small giggle behind me. I turned my head to find a little girl peering up at me from the seat of the cart she was riding in. She must have only been about 4 or 5 and had the biggest eyes I have ever seen. I looked at her mother questioningly and she sort of glanced at my antlers that I forgot I was wearing and smiled. I stood there not really knowing what to do so I just put the baby carrots into my basket, smiled at the mother and daughter and wished them a Merry Christmas. When I was about to walk away the little girl in the most serious voice asked me if I still wanted her to leave carrots for me at her house... I laughed and told her that I could never get enough carrots and then trotted off the best I could.

After that incident I finally felt like christmas had come...
